Edit & Delete Orders
After you have created inbound shipments, you will occasionally need to update details or remove orders that are no longer relevant. The Inbound page supports both single-order edits and bulk operations, so you can make changes efficiently whether you are updating one record or dozens.
Editing a Single Order
To update the details of one shipment, click on its row in the inbound table. This opens the shipment detail view where you can modify any of the editable fields, including item name, quantity, cost, tracking numbers, notes, and more.
- Navigate to the Inbound page from the sidebar.
- Locate the shipment you want to edit. Use the search bar or filters if needed.
- Click on the row to open the shipment details.
- Update the fields that need to change.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
A confirmation notification will appear once the update has been saved. The table will refresh to reflect the new values. If you decide you do not want to make changes after all, you can close the detail view without saving and the original data will remain untouched.
Bulk Editing Multiple Orders
When you need to apply the same update to several shipments at once, bulk editing saves you from opening each row individually. This is especially useful for things like updating the supplier name across a batch of orders or changing the fulfillment type for a group of shipments.
- On the inbound table, select the checkboxes next to each shipment you want to edit. You can select as many rows as you need.
- Click the Edit button that appears when rows are selected.
- In the bulk edit form, update the fields you want to change. Only the fields you modify will be applied to the selected shipments. Fields you leave unchanged will keep their existing values.
- Click Save to apply the changes to all selected rows.
The system will update every selected shipment with the new values and display a confirmation once complete. This is a powerful tool, so double-check which rows you have selected before applying your changes.
Deleting Orders
If you need to remove shipments from your inbound list, you can delete them individually or in bulk.
- Select the checkboxes next to the shipments you want to delete. You can also open a single shipment and delete it from the detail view.
- Click the Delete button.
- A confirmation modal will appear asking you to verify the deletion. Review the list of shipments that will be removed.
- Confirm the deletion. The selected rows will be permanently removed from your inbound data.
Deletion is permanent, so take a moment to verify that you have selected the correct rows before confirming. If you are deleting a large number of shipments, it is a good idea to scroll through the selected rows in the confirmation modal to make sure nothing was included by mistake.
Safety Tips for Bulk Operations
Bulk edits and bulk deletes are efficient, but they can also cause problems if applied carelessly. Here are a few practices that will help you avoid mistakes.
Before performing any bulk operation, consider exporting your current inbound data using the Export button on the inbound page. This gives you a snapshot of your data that you can reference if something goes wrong or if you need to verify what changed.
Always re-check your selected rows before clicking Edit or Delete. It is easy to accidentally select an extra row when scrolling through a long table. A quick scan of the selection count and the highlighted rows can prevent unintended changes.
If you are making a significant bulk edit, consider testing the change on just two or three rows first. Apply the edit to a small selection, verify the results, and then repeat the operation on the remaining rows once you are confident the update is correct.
When deleting orders that have already been partially processed or received, make sure the deletion will not affect downstream records in inventory or outbound. If you are unsure, reach out to your account administrator before proceeding.
