Received - Needs Attention

The Needs Attention page shows all received units that require your review before they can be fully checked in. Think of this as your priority queue for incoming inventory. Staying on top of this page is important because unresolved items here can create bottlenecks in your receiving workflow.

What ends up here

Items on this page have been physically received, scanned, and logged by the warehouse, but they have not yet been verified against your inbound orders. Each logged item has been unboxed and documented with the relevant details the warehouse could identify. However, something prevented the item from being automatically checked in, and it needs your input to move forward.

Common reasons an item lands on this page include mismatches between the item and an inbound order, missing order numbers, unrecognizable ASINs, or other discrepancies that the warehouse team could not resolve on their own. When an item cannot be checked in, the warehouse leaves a note explaining the reason so you know exactly what needs to be addressed.

How to use this page

  1. Open the Received section and navigate to the Needs Attention page.
  2. Use the search, filter, and sort controls to find the items you want to review.
  3. Review the row details and any notes left by the warehouse team. These notes will tell you why the item could not be checked in automatically.
  4. Take the appropriate action to resolve the issue. This might mean providing the correct order number, confirming the ASIN, or giving other instructions.

The goal is to clear items from this page as quickly as possible. Every item sitting in Needs Attention is inventory that has not yet been added to your account, so prompt attention keeps your records accurate and your workflow moving.

Resolving discrepancies

When you see an item flagged with a discrepancy, read the note carefully to understand what went wrong. In most cases, the warehouse simply needs a piece of information from you to complete the check-in. You can respond directly from this page by providing the correct order number or ASIN that the item should be matched against. Once the warehouse has the information it needs, the item will be verified and moved along.

If you are unsure about an item, you can request pictures to get a visual confirmation of what was received. You can also request disposal if the item is not something you want added to your inventory. Both of these actions are available directly from this page.

What happens after resolution

Once an item has been resolved and verified, it moves to the Checked In page. At that point, the item is officially added to your Inventory and is ready for further action such as shipment requests, labeling, or storage. Keeping the Needs Attention queue clear ensures that your inventory counts stay up to date and nothing gets stuck in limbo.
