Bulk Edit

When multiple inventory rows need the same metadata correction or update, the Bulk Edit feature lets you make those changes all at once instead of editing each row individually. This is one of the biggest time-savers on the Inventory page, especially when dealing with large volumes of product data.

How to Use Bulk Edit

Follow these steps to update multiple inventory rows at once:

  1. Navigate to the Inventory page and locate the rows you want to update. Use the search bar or fulfillment type filter to narrow down the table if needed.
  2. Select the rows you want to edit by clicking the checkboxes on the left side of the table. You can select as many rows as you need.
  3. Click the Edit button at the top of the table. The Bulk Edit panel will open, showing only the fields that are shared across all selected rows.
  4. Update the fields that need changing. You can modify things like product titles, ASINs, SKUs, and other metadata fields. Leave any field unchanged if it does not need an update.
  5. Click Save to apply your changes. A success toast notification will confirm that the updates have been applied.
  6. Verify the changes by reviewing the updated rows in the inventory table. The table will refresh automatically to reflect your edits.

Best Practices

Getting the most out of Bulk Edit comes down to working in smart, logical batches. Here are a few tips to keep your edits clean and accurate.

Work in small, logical batches. Rather than selecting dozens of unrelated rows, group your edits by product family or fulfillment type. For example, update all units of the same SKU at once, or correct the ASIN for an entire product line in one pass. This reduces the risk of accidentally applying the wrong value to the wrong items.

Only change what needs changing. The Bulk Edit panel shows all editable fields, but you should only modify the ones that actually require an update. Leaving fields untouched ensures you do not overwrite correct data by mistake.

Double-check before saving. Take a moment to review your changes before clicking Save. Once the update is applied, the previous values are replaced. If you are correcting ASINs or SKUs, make sure the new values are accurate by cross-referencing your source of truth.

Use filters first. Before selecting rows, apply filters on the inventory page to isolate the group you want to edit. This makes it much easier to select the right rows and avoid accidentally including items that should not be changed.

When to Use Bulk Edit

Bulk Edit is ideal for situations where the same change applies to multiple rows. Common use cases include:

  • Correcting a misspelled product title across a batch of units
  • Adding or updating ASINs for items that were checked in without complete data
  • Changing fulfillment type designations after a channel strategy update
  • Standardizing SKU formats across a product line

For changes that are unique to a single row, editing that row individually is usually faster. But anytime you find yourself making the same edit more than two or three times, Bulk Edit is the better approach.
