Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is the first page you see after logging in. Think of it as your command center -- it gives you a snapshot of your account activity at a glance and helps you decide where to focus your attention next.
What You Will See
When the dashboard loads, you will find a set of metric cards across the top of the page. These cards summarize the current state of your account -- things like how many inbound shipments are pending, how many received items need attention, and how many inventory units are on hand. Each card is designed to give you a quick read on volume so you can spot anything unusual right away.
Below the metric cards you may also see warning banners or notices. These are time-sensitive messages from the warehouse that highlight things you should be aware of, such as upcoming holiday closures, policy changes, or action items tied to your account. If a banner appears, read it before diving into your workflows because it may affect how you proceed.
Using the Dashboard as a Triage Page
The most effective way to use the dashboard is as a triage page rather than a place where you do all of your work. Each morning (or whenever you log in), follow this general routine:
- Review the top metric cards. Scan the numbers to understand your current volume across inbound, received, inventory, and outbound.
- Check for warning banners or notices. Read any messages displayed below the metrics. These may require immediate action or simply keep you informed.
- Use the quick links to jump into workflows. The dashboard provides shortcuts that take you directly to the pages where work needs to happen. Click into whichever area needs your attention most.
The dashboard is intentionally lightweight. It tells you where to go, not how to do the work. The detailed data entry, editing, and request workflows all live on their dedicated pages.
Deciding Where to Go Next
Here is a simple framework for prioritizing your next steps based on what the dashboard shows you:
-
High inbound volume -- If you have a large number of pending inbound shipments, head over to the Inbound page to verify your shipment data is complete and accurate. Making sure tracking numbers and item details are filled in will help the warehouse process your packages faster when they arrive.
-
Received items pending -- If the dashboard shows items sitting in a received or needs-attention state, navigate to the Received page. Items flagged here may need you to confirm quantities, resolve discrepancies, or provide additional information before they can be checked into inventory.
-
Inventory action needed -- When you see inventory that requires labeling, bundling, or other prep work, go to the Inventory page. From there you can submit requests, print labels, or use bulk edit to update multiple items at once.
-
Communication needed -- If you have open questions or ongoing conversations with the warehouse, visit the Tickets page to check for replies or create a new support ticket.
Tips for an Efficient Workflow
Handle urgent cards first. If any metric card is highlighted or shows an unusually high number, address that area before moving on to routine tasks. Urgent items left unattended can snowball and slow down your entire pipeline.
Complete data-entry workflows in their dedicated pages. The dashboard gives you the overview, but the real work happens on the individual pages. Resist the temptation to try to manage everything from one screen -- instead, click through to the relevant section and use the full set of tools available there.
Check back throughout the day. As the warehouse processes your shipments and inventory, the dashboard numbers will update. A quick glance a few times per day keeps you on top of changes without having to dig through each section manually.
The dashboard is your daily launchpad. Spend a minute here to orient yourself, then jump into the specific workflow pages to get things done.
